Housing

Housing Options

On-campus dormitory: Recommended for single participants or for those not accompanied by a spouse, children or significant others. Participants prefer this option because they enjoy the cultural exchange experienced by living, studying and socializing with participants from other countries, as well as making valuable professional contacts that they develop during their time in Davis. Because of the valuable networking opportunities this option provides, 90 percent of the participants in the summer programs choose to stay on-campus. Dormitory participants will be housed in a residential-suite dormitory facility. The facility is within biking or walking distance from the School of Law's King Hall classroom sites as well as the campus recreation hall, swimming pool and athletic fields. The dormitory rooms are designed for single student occupancy. Each individual has a private bedroom within a suite of several rooms and shares a bathroom. Friends and spouses are welcome, but are charged the full participant rate. Only individuals of the same sex will be grouped together in a suite. Therefore, spouses would be housed in different suites. Most meals are included in the housing fee. To see where the on-campus dormitories are located and to view the floor plan, refer to the following Web site: http://www.confhsg.ucdavis.edu/Accommodations.htm.

Off-campus hotel: Hotels are highly recommended for couples with or without small children and for single-travelers requiring the convenience of a full service hotel and direct access to business communication amenities. We have reserved a block of rooms offered at a discounted group rate at a local hotel. Please contact our office for additional information regarding hotels.
